Story Round-Up: Features in The Herald-News, June 17 through June 23

Stayed up waaaaay late last night to keep virtual company to one son in the ER and then off to a very early morning doctor's appointment.

Feeling Friday already slip away, here's a few soundbites.

No progress on Cornell dyer and the Necklace of Forgetfulness. Rebekah worked extra hours this week and could not finish the formatting.

Edited most of Kellen's chapter seven. Some back issues this week cut my working out waaaay back. On the plus side, accomplished a lot at work and used the time I would have spent working out to work on Kellen. So all good.

Goal this weekend: make a huge editing dent in Kellen and finish chapter 17 in the fifth novel of Before the Blood.

Have a beautiful weekend readers, writers, vampire fans!

Non-bylined features:

Monday through Saturday I assembled my non-bylined works - brief posts and calendar listings - into one convenient file and posting them on Facebook in the evening, so readers can easily choose the ones they want to read.

One can also find those event listings, the Gotta Do It calendar, as well as the pets, health, faith, and arts and entertainment calendars, under the sections tab on the left hand side of http://www.theherald-news.com/. Click on "features" and the topics drop down.  Gotta Do It runs under "people."

Community news? Again, under the sections tab, under features, and by topic. Updates are posted on these days in print and web (and some only on web on other days as I have the time): Monday (pets), Tuesday (health), Thursday (faith), Friday (arts and entertainment), and Sunday (people).

An Extraordinary Life: A life of hard work and responsibility
Lockport man mapped out the best routes and gave good directions

“He was a man of character and very responsible, from a young age, and he was well-respected in all that he did,” Leonard’s daughter, Beth Hohisel of Lockport, said in an email. “Ski, as he liked to be called, loved his family, worked hard, chose to do the right thing, helped when he could, trusted God and prayed. He not so much talked about these things, but we saw him live them out every day.”
