Story Round-Up: Features in The Herald-News, March 17 through March 22

Today: deadlines and plenty of them.

Tonight: family dinner:

Tomorrow: Ever hear of the play Bell, Book, and Candle? Well tomorrow, it will be Denise, Book, and Candle.

Lots of books. And lots of candles (Just one "me.").

As WriteOn Joliet continues with its Author of the Month program at The Book Market in Crest Hill, one author had to step back, so I stepped up to close the gap.

I will be at the book store from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a wide selection of my books, including titles not yet up on the website. I have books for all ages, so please stop and browse, both my titles and the wide array of new and used books The Book Market offers.

I will also be selling homemade soy candles in five BryonySeries scents (bryony, purple rose, Sue's Diner, Lake Munson, and Simons Woods). My candlemaker has lung cancer, so my goal is to keep selling entire the entire stock is gone and she has all the money from her efforts.

I will also have coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Drinks and conversation are free, so please stop in and say, "Hi!" I would love to meet you in person.

The Book Market is located at 2365 Plainfield Road in Crest Hill. If you have any questions, please message me at bryonyseries@gmail.com.

"That's the beauty of it," Mike Kotze, the general ways and means chairman for the Lincoln-Way Music Boosters, said. "We don't have to do much. Our other events call for a lot of student and parent volunteers. You don't want to wear people out asking them again and again and again. With the mattress sale, we just have to get the world out and the company takes care of everything else."
