One of our favorite books from this club was called The Troll Music by Anita Lobel.
Here is its synopsis:
A troll casts a spell on a group of musicians, causing their instruments to make only animal sounds. Ultimately, a group of barnyard animals come to the aid of the musicians.

The book is super fun and available on Amazon if you're interested.
Although I'll be willing to bet some of its subtler themes wouldn't show up in kids books today.
