Something to Read

For those who have not tried the new recipe on Sue's Diner yet, well, you get one more day.

I'm covering breaking news and working through the weekend and didn't realize until late last night that I'd forgotten to change it - you kow, the things that pop into your head when you've gone to bed too late and should be sleeping.

However, I'd like to give a quick promotion to my published writer comrades in WriteOn Joliet. Twitter is the platform where I typically share their books, but not everyone who reads this blog is on Twitter.

So here is a link to the members of the group who have published. You'll find poetry, esssays, short stories, novels, and a wide variety of genres.

And if reading an entire book is not your thing, consider picking up one of our WriteOn Joliet anthologies. You'll find selections of wonderful writings by the authors who contributed to each volume. Those contributions vary volume by volume.

Think of each anthology like attending a wonderful literary brunch: a wide variety of topics and styles.

Or if you live in the areas of Will and Grundy Counties in Illinois, stop in at The Book Market in Crest Hill and pick up an anthology or a book by a WriteOn Joliet member.

A portion of the cover price goes back to The Book Market, so you'll be supporting a local business, too.

Finally, if you buy a WriteOn Joliet book and don't like it, you can always take it to The Book Market for store credit and buy something else.

See? It's a win-win-win.
