I "discovered" George Winston around 2008 when drafting "Bryony," the first book (and only book - I had thought - at the time) in the BryonySeries.
His artistry "sounded" the way I imagined some of John Simons' pieces.
And so I've enjoyed "discovering" other pieces throughv the years.
According to the YouTube page for this piece: AUTUMN was the first of George Winston's seasonal recordings, originally released in 1980, followed by WINTER INTO SPRING, DECEMBER, and SUMMER.
"Longing" was composed in 1975, the year I graduated from eighth grade.
Enjoy!
