What Artists Have Always Known

This morning I read this article in The Atlantic: "The Perks of Being a Weirdo  How not fitting in can lead to creative thinking."

I think two types of people will benefit from reading it.

Those who will sagely nod and think, "Yep. That's me!"

Or those who will now have insight in that friend or relative that just won't conform.

This is not about non-conformity for non-conformity's sake.

And unpaved roads are not comfortable.

But fresh perspectives and new ideas often come from lifting the flaps of the box and seeing what's beyond it.
